It is believed that Roma have made a big advance in the race to sign Uruguayan Gonzalo Bueno with an offer of €3.5m plus performance based add-ons.

If Bueno was to join the club, 10 appearances would see an extra €0.5m and then if 20 appearances was made €1m would be added to the transfer fee, presumably for this season.

The Nacional forward has also been on the radar of Genoa, Livorno and also Russian side Krasnodar but Roma have taken the lead.

Bueno would probably be an automatic replacement for Nico Lopez who is now co-owned by Udinese and also currently playing for them now as well.

But as it stands Roma have a surplus in forwards at the Capital with talks ongoing for the sale of Pablo Osvaldo and also the future of Marco Borriello is in doubt as well.
